100 Greatest Novels Of All Time – There are many great books written every year, and some books tend to be discussed and read over the years. This prompted us to create a list of the 100 best books of all time, and it turned out to be much more difficult than we first imagined.

Why a hundred, you ask? That seems like a great number to end the list with. There are many people who have not read even hundreds of books, while others achieve this in a year. Choosing books for this list was difficult in part because there are so many incredible books out there that your brain wants to forget the important ones.

What books should have made the list but didn’t? Let us know in the comments below and we might include them in the next post. Until then, happy reading! There are many best book lists out there, but few organizations are as influential or prestigious as Time magazine. In 2010, they published their list of the 100 greatest books of all time, and they came up with a solid list. But one rule limited their list. Keep reading to find out which 100 books made their list!

Before we dive into the list, it’s important to note two rules of Time that are used when building a list. The first rule was that all books published from 1923 onwards were considered. It was then that Time began to publish and consider them a “starting point”. The second rule is that books must be written in English. Even if they have been translated into English, they will not be considered.

Both of these rules are stupid and do a lot of discredit to this list. Mainly because excluding books published before 1923 means that many literary classics will be left out. And the second reason can be even more stupid. Books are universal, and by choosing only English-language books, Time shows pretension and arrogance.

Even with the bad rules, this is a decent list. But I can’t help but wonder how many of these books would have made the list if the two rules weren’t in place. Creating a list for all time and limiting the time frame seems like a bad idea.
