First, I want to clear up my thoughts about Valentine’s Day. My husband and I don’t do Valentine’s Day, but that’s because it’s meaningless. We make mushy lovers the rest of the year. We’ve been together for almost a decade, so this seems like a good year to go the extra mile!
Along those same lines, love is a unique human emotion. It’s not limited to romantic love (which, let’s face it, can be complicated and difficult). My favorite kind of love is quiet and unassuming: the neighbor who brings you soup, the child you tuck into bed with at night, your friend who is your best friend (even after you chose to you and so on). That’s the love I want to celebrate!
You can send a love letter to many loved ones in your life: parents, children, best friends, siblings, grandparents. So, let’s write!
