Lazy River In Las Vegas – It’s funny, I get a lot of REALLY weird questions through this site and its associated social media pages – like “Are the Bellagio fountains on” or “How much is early check-in at South Point?”
If you’re curious, yes, the fountains are active and no, we have no idea how much early check-in costs at South Point. Maybe ask them?
Lazy River In Las Vegas
A question that pops up in my inbox from time to time is, “What hotels in Las Vegas have a lazy river?” Fortunately, this is an easier question. It makes sense. After all, what’s better than slowly swimming in an endless circle with a drink in your hand?

MGM Grand: The 6.6-acre MGM Grand pool complex is impressive. In addition to multiple pools and 5 separate hot tubs, MGM’s “Backlot River” offers over 1,000 feet of slow-flowing, lazy river.
While the lazy river is available to both guests staying at the MGM Grand and The Signature at MGM, anyone can access MGM’s expansive (and impressive) pool complex with the option to rent a cabana or lounger. It was worth it.
Mandalay Bay: Like the MGM Grand, the Mandalay Bay pool complex is extensive. Known as “The Beach,” Mandalay offers guests access to a 1.6 million-gallon wave pool, four swimming pools, a jogging track and a lazy river.
Mandalay Bay also allows guests who are not staying at the hotel access to the pool and lazy river, provided they rent a cabana or lounger.
The Best Lazy Rivers In The World
Tahiti Villiage: Located approximately two miles south of Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas Boulevard, the Tahiti Villiage pool complex offers an 1/8-mile lazy river that is heated year-round.
Forget tubes at home? Don’t worry, Tahiti Villa offers free metro for all guests. The lazy river is part of a larger pool complex that spans over an acre and contains real sand and over 250,000 gallons of water.
Cowabunga Canyon: Although Cowabunga Canyon (formerly Wet ‘n’ Wild) is not part of the resort’s pool complex, one of its main attractions is the lazy river.
Known as the Colorado Cooler, guests can take unlimited laps around the lazy river. Wet ‘n’ Wild is located approximately 16 miles or a 15-20 minute drive from the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.

Cowabunga Bay: Another water park located a short drive from the Strip resorts, Cowabunga Bay features a lazy river that winds through beautiful scenery, including a 1967 Volkswagon Bug.
In addition to the lazy river pool, Cowabunga Bay also offers a wide selection of pools and water slides.
We hope I’ve found a lazy river pool in Las Vegas that’s right for you! While lazy rivers in Vegas are a somewhat uncommon feature for resort pools, there are still some solid options.
I’m a former software salesman turned Vegas enthusiast. Although my favorite place is the craps table, I take time away from exploring new attractions, shows, restaurants and outdoor activities in Las Vegas with the intention of sharing my experiences.

Ultimately, I just want to help people plan a better trip and save a few bucks. Tahiti Village is famous for its long Lazy River and Tahitian-themed swimming pool with access to a sandy beach. Stay with us, enjoy the tropical paradise of Las Vegas and take a moment to feel the atmosphere of the Tahiti village.
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the experience of the Tahiti Village, our lazy river will be temporarily closed from November 27, 2023 – February 10, 2024. This closure is necessary to undertake necessary maintenance work and make improvements that will provide a more enjoyable experience and a more enjoyable and safer holiday when you come back to us in the summer.
Although the lazy river will be closed during this time, you will still be able to enjoy the main pool, hot tubs and other amenities, which will remain open and fully operational. We also offer activities that will give you a fantastic experience during your stay with us.

The Tahiti Village swimming pool complex is home to one of the longest lazy rivers in Las Vegas. Our seasonally heated Lazy River will keep you relaxed and cool as you encounter four beautiful waterfalls along its Lazy River crossing.
