We had a great time!! Our guide Nathan was awesome!! So friendly and very understanding! He had us laughing all the time!! I have booked this for 15 of us and everyone has raved about it. We’ve all lived in Louisiana our entire lives and none of us have done an overnight swamp tour. Our boat didn’t even have a light ( 3 fuses ) blown, so all Nathan had was his eyesight but he didn’t miss a beat!! All the things were friendly and the place was beautiful and well kept. I’ll Never Do It Again: Bayou Tour In Louisiana — Deviating The Norm
We used Cajun Encounters for three tours: City Bus Tours, Swamp Tour, and Plantation Tour (Laura and Oak Alley). The City bus tour is led by Butch. The Swamp tour was led by Capt Stefan, and Laura’s tour was led by a young man whose name I don’t remember. These travel guides are the best we have ever seen. They take travel to a whole new level in my book. The guides are interesting and engaging and make the whole experience unforgettable. Even the tour bus drivers are fun and do a great job. We conducted these tours on August 20 and 21, 2019.
We really enjoyed our swamp tour with Capt John! It has a lot of wit and humor (reminds me of Adam Sandler), along with interesting facts! We have great pictures of alligators up close (and personal!) and wild boar! We booked online and when we arrived, everything was ready and well organized. The facilities were good. The parking area with games and viewing area, restrooms, gift shop is also good. I love how they color-code each side for the boats and they match the life jackets. My oldest daughter has Autism and is easily overwhelmed by new experiences; but Capt John quickly put him at ease! It even helped him to find a live snail! This was well worth our time and money!
