Orlando Airport Uber Pickup Location – Orlando International Airport is located only about 20 miles from Disney World. Guests traveling to Disney World often take advantage of this if they have to fly in from out of town. The airport just received a $69 million federal grant to continue updating its newest addition, Terminal C.

There used to be one common way for Disney World guests to get to the resort: Disney’s Magical Express bus service. But since it disappeared at the end of 2021, we have to make our own arrangements for transportation. If you’ve decided to use Uber or Lyft to get to Disney World, we have an important tip for you! If you’re looking for the rideshare location at Orlando Airport, you may not find it right away!

In many airports, you can follow the signs for “ground transportation” and turn off at a level where you’ll find pick-up locations for taxis, shuttle services, and ride-sharing locations like Uber or Lyft. But at Orlando Airport, the carpool pickup truck is NOT on the same level as the pickup truck for taxis and other ground transportation! This has tripped us up before, so we want to save you the same confusion.

Level 2 is where you want to go to get picked up by Uber or Lyft for Terminals A and B. If you follow the signs for ground transportation in Terminals A or B, you will end up on Level 1 and have to go back upstairs. If you are flying to Terminal C, you will need to go to Level 6 for carpooling.

One of the very first steps to take when you land in Orlando is to find the best way to your hotel with everyone and everything intact and in place. The key to good transportation is speed, comfort and cost. At 5am, the last thing you want is to be stuck in crowded vehicles moving slowly through an endless number of stops. And with eager children too!

Universal Orlando Benefits For Customers Of Avis, Budget, & American Express

While there are many ways to get from the airport to your hotel, airport shuttles are safe, economical and ideal for large families. And booking an Orlando airport shuttle to hotel service is guaranteed to involve less crying and yelling, so read on to find out more about the options available to you.

Originally named McCoy Air Force Base, Orlando International Airport is one of the busiest Florida airports with scheduled flights, as it is the closest airport (20-30 minutes) to the Disney parks. The airport has many restaurants and fast food places to grab a quick bite while you wait for your transfer. If you feel yourself getting discouraged, you can take your family shopping at the park-themed stores for some new items.

Choose from a multitude of options to begin your adventures to Disney World from Orlando International Airport. Rental cars, shuttles, limousines or taxis, the best one for your family depends entirely on your vacation plans, wallet and time. And it’s also the closest airport to Universal Studios at just 10.2 miles.

Uber Wants To Make Airport Trips Less Messy

This return service also includes check-in at the Universal Hotel Transportation counter at the airport. However, note that it doesn’t come with car seats, so you’ll need to bring your own. (Read more about Florida car seat laws below.)

Disney’s Magical Express Service motorcoach, one of the best Orlando International airport hotel shuttles, has unfortunately been discontinued on December 31, 2021.

So if you are booked at the Disney Hotels before that date, save money on car rental and make good use of this service. Why? It’s free, allows luggage delivery to and from the airport and even offers resort check-in services at the airport itself.

Replacing the Magical Express is Mears Connect – which begins service on 1 January 2022. Mears actually currently operates the Magical Express, so it should be an easy transition to the new system. This is a paid service (unlike the free Magical Express) that runs buses and vans to hotels and resorts in the Orlando area with reservations now open. Please note that this is NOT affiliated with Disney in any way.

The resorts Mears Connect services will appear in the drop-down menu when you book. You can see a full list by scrolling down the pricing page. Please note, the hotel and resort list will expand in 2022. Here is the current list of hotels.

This is an excellent shuttle option for transportation between Orlando Airport and Disney World hotels as well as other Orlando hotels, so make advanced reservations and head out to the airport pickup area. You do not have to be a guest at Disney to make a reservation. The signage at MCO is pretty clear and simple.

Mears is also looking into offering a luggage delivery service like the Disney Magical Express and will send an update to all interested and already reserved guests if and when it becomes available.
