Rooftop Bars Las Vegas Strip
Brewdog is opening a carbon-negative bar on Friday 2nd December on the Strip. At 30,000 square feet, BrewDog says the brewpub will be the largest on the Los Strip. The new location will sit atop Showcase Mall and boast a rooftop bar that offers 360-degree views.
Brewdog: Las Vegas
In July 2021, paperwork revealed that BrewDog had earmarked $2,648,400 in construction costs just to build a restaurant, bar spaces, retail area, microbrewery, pool deck, and new mezzanine. The bar is sure to draw the attention of passers-by with a 4,000-square-foot LED cube that features a custom 30-foot illuminated sign on the fourth-floor ceiling.
The bar will offer 96 pours on tap, with beers like Elvis Juice and Pink IPA, and guest taps from Las Breweries. In an effort to round out the food offerings for the crowd, the menu will include pizza and tacos, but also lobster and wagyu beef burgers. The expansive bar will also feature full-size shuffleboard tables, retro gaming, and plenty of TVs. In 2020, Brewdog became the world’s first carbon negative brewery. The Scottish brewery and pub chain became a certified B-Corp in 2021.
In June 2021, hundreds of former Brewdog employees accused the beer company and founders of fostering what they called a “culture of fear”. An open letter from former staff members claims that “a large number of people” suffered from mental illness as a result of the toxic working environment there. Co-founder James Watt later issued an apology on behalf of the company on Twitter, saying the brewery’s focus was “not on contradicting or competing with the details of the letter, but on listening, learning and acting.”
The grand opening weekend will kick off on Friday, December 2 with a raffle in which one guest will be awarded a $1 million bar tab, which can be used at any BrewDog bar over the next 20 years. On Saturday 3 December, the rooftop bar will host a free performance by We Are Scientists. For $10, guests can secure guaranteed admission before 8 p.m. And a complimentary pint.
