Shops At The Palazzo Venetian – Located at the north end of the Las Vegas strip, the Venetian opened its doors in 1999 and the Palazzo followed in 2007.

In a city that is slowly “de-theming,” the Venetian still embraces the intricate Italian elements that make it a must-see property.

As is the case with many resorts in Las Vegas, there is much more to the Venetian and Palazzo than just gambling.

Stroll the Grand Canal Shops: A stroll through the Grand Canal Shops is a must if you are visiting The Venetian. Duration

Sure, there are more than 160 shops, restaurants and bars, but the star of the show is the theming. Shoppes give guests the feeling of walking the streets of Venice, and there are breathtaking views around every corner.

Whatever you do, don’t forget to take a selfie in front of the “love” sign. After all, if you don’t, were you even here?

Grab a drink at the Grand Canal Shops: In addition to the unbeatable scenery, there are plenty of rock-solid happy hour deals scattered about the shops, making it a fun place to hop to again and again.

A favorite of mine, Trustworthy Brewing Company also calls Grand Canal Shoppes home and is one of the only breweries on the Strip.

Catch a free show in St. Mark’s Square: The focal point of the Grand Canal Shops is St. Mark’s Square, a replica of the Italian version.

The Vegas version of St. Mark’s Square offers guests the opportunity to dine under a simulated blue sky, surrounded by themed elements that make The Venetian a must-see attraction in its own right.

While you’re there, be sure to check out the 15-minute “Streetmosphere” performance, which is free and features singers, dancers and musicians.

While Streetmosphere isn’t the most impressive free attraction in Vegas, it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Throw Darts: The Flight Club can be found in the Grand Canal Shoppes near Grimaldi and offers 20 semi-private playing fields, a bar and a restaurant.

The word I would use to describe Flight Club is “beautiful”. This isn’t your dive bar with darts back home.

Take a Romantic Gondola Ride: Offering both indoor and outdoor rides, the Venetian’s gondolas are a favorite activity for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Gondoliers serenade guests as they pass through canals inspired by Venice, Italy.

Although I personally would find the singing part uncomfortable, I know there are others who find it romantic. To each his own.

Watch Atomic Saloon: A production created by the same people who brought you “Absinthe” and “OPM,” Atomic Saloon combines a catchy variety show with an aggressive brand of humor that I, and people like me, would have enjoyed. are

From the creators of the show “Blazing Saddles” meets “America’s Got Talent” meets “Westworld,” Atomic Saloon can be a good option for those who enjoy raw humor and entertainment. There are.

Minus5 Ice Bar: Best thing to do in the Venetian on a hot summer day – grab a drink at a bar made entirely of ice.

Forgot your winter gear? do not worry. Parkas, gloves, hats, etc. are provided. You will be comfortable and create a unique memory.

Go Rock Climbing: A 40-foot rock wall is part of the Venetian’s Canyon Ranch Spa that anyone can access. Prices range from $29 for a 25-minute session to $49 for a 50-minute session.

While the spa also offers traditional amenities like salt caves, fitness classes, and other wellness services, I chose to focus on the rock wall… because it looks like more fun.

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum: See and take photos with celebrities and politicians, living and dead at Madame Tussauds. Celebrities include Steve Aoki, Allen from “The Hangover,” and Snoop Dogg.

Sing, or watch, karaoke: Among the more upscale karaoke bars in Las Vegas, Camo sets itself apart by offering 40 private suites that all offer their own unique flair. They are terrible. Bottle service and a full food menu are also offered.

Take advantage of the pool: The expansive deck gives guests access to both the Venetian and Palazzo pools, meaning you’ll always be able to find a sunny spot to recover from the night before and hit Las Vegas. Will be able to recharge for the night.

The renovated pool deck is stunning and the individual pools are separated by vegetation, giving you a more intimate experience than you’d expect from a mega-resort.

The Venetian and part of the Palazzo’s pool are open year-round for those brave enough to swim in the winter.

Located on the north end of the Las Vegas strip, nearby Venetian has plenty of things to do.

I recommend visiting Wayne’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, which is worth a visit even if you don’t plan on gambling at the resort.

While you’re in Wynne, make sure you take the time to stroll through their beautiful Plaza Shops, which boasts several high-end tenants.

The free volcano show across the street at The Mirage is an attraction, as it will soon be removed as the resort transitions to its new identity as Hard Rock.

The free attractions at Bellagio, including the front fountain and conservatory, should find their way into most Las Vegas itineraries.

If you’re in the mood for a “dwarf” experience, head next door to Casino Royale for $3 bottles of beer.

At Caesar’s Palace, a stroll through the intricately themed forum shops is a must, if only for the scenery and photo ops.

Cigar enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that Caesars also offers 2 different cigar lounges. The first, Montecristo, is located off the casino floor.

Resorts World is a short walk north and is the newest resort on the Strip. Inside, you’ll find a sprawling casino floor, a speakeasy bar (shh!), a cocktail lounge on the 66th floor, and numerous dining options.

My favorite aspect of the resort is the famous Foods Street Eats, a food court that offers a great variety of high-quality food at grab-and-go prices (around $20 or less).

Speaking of food, my favorite tacos in Las Vegas can be found at Tacos El Gordo just a short walk from Wayne and Encore.

The ordering system (more on that here ) is a bit chaotic, but the tacos are cheap, authentic and tasty as heck.

The Venetian and the Palazzo have an absolute plethora of travel-worthy activities. Although not listed as its own bullet point, just walking through and exploring the themed resort is one of my favorite things to do while in town.

I’m a former software salesman turned Vegas enthusiast. Although the craps table is my favorite abode, I take myself away to explore new attractions, shows, restaurants and outdoor activities around Las Vegas with the intention of sharing my experiences.
