Many Las Vegas hotels, casinos and restaurants reopened their doors to the public on June 4. Most have new security protocols and requirements.
The state Gaming Control Board updated its health and safety policies for reopening casinos, requiring resort hotel licensees to provide temperature checks for hotel guests upon arrival or to have a medical professional on-site. The council amended its May 1 notice with five key updates, including requiring a designated area where hotel guests can be tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) and wait for their test results.
Some parks, pools and recreational facilities are open with new guidelines. All spray pads, skate parks, volleyball courts and aerobics stations in Las Vegas were scheduled to reopen. Facilities will operate at 50% capacity, and social distancing must be practiced.

The Clark County School District has unveiled tentative plans to reopen schools by dividing students into two groups to attend school in person two days a week and learn from home three days a week, with a digital-only option for families who prefer students to stay home full time. A vote on the final plan is expected on July 9.

DMV offices in Las Vegas and Reno will be open again on Saturdays and will once again accept unregistered customers. Operating hours on Saturday will be from 8 am to 12 pm. The deadline for those who need to obtain a REAL ID has been extended to 2021.
Campgrounds at state parks opened May 29 but are limited to 50 percent capacity. All state park visitor centers, gift shops, offices and cabins are scheduled to reopen Monday, according to the park system’s website.
