The Vdara Hotel Las Vegas – Vdara Hotel & Spa is part of a complex of several luxury hotels in CityCenter, where there are many entertainment, shopping and dining options. Each of the 1,495 spacious suites has a kitchenette, king-size bed, dining table for two, and large spa-style bathtub.
CityCenter includes more than a dozen restaurants, several nightclubs, live shows and shops for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci and Tiffany & Co. Vdara is one of the few hotels that does not have a casino, but a short restaurant. a covered walkway leads to the casinos of the Bellagio or Aria hotels.

Vdara offers a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere compared to many of its casino-based counterparts on the Las Vegas Strip. Here you can relax on a sun lounger by the outdoor pool or pamper yourself in the spa. Market Café Vdara presents Californian cuisine with a focus on fresh, organic ingredients. You can also sip creative cocktails at the Vdara bar. Valet parking is free and Wi-Fi access is free throughout the hotel.

The owners of the CityCenter casino complex unveiled their first hotel on Tuesday, opening the first 1,500 rooms in the $8.5 billion development they hope will be a catalyst to boost Las Vegas tourism after two years of declines.

“I promise next year will be better than this year,” said MGM Mirage CEO Jim Murren.
Murren said at a short ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Vdara Hotel & Spa that after five years of development, the CityCenter complex is now time to celebrate what more than 10,000 construction workers built and 12,000 employees will operate.
CityCenter is co-owned by Las Vegas-based MGM Mirage and Dubai World, the investment arm of the Persian Gulf state.
Most of the 67-acre project on the Las Vegas Strip will open in phases this month. The Crystals retail mall and the 392-room Mandarin Oriental open this week, while the central Aria Resort & Casino opens Dec. 16, adding 4,004 hotel rooms to the saturated Las Vegas market. Two condominium towers will open in January, and a 400-room boutique hotel has been postponed until at least the end of next year.

Competitors worry that the added rooms could drive down rates further in a market where many hotel-casinos have had to cut rates to keep beds full.
Vdara is a 57-story gaming and non-smoking condominium hotel connected to other CityCenter amenities and the adjacent plush Bellagio hotel. Features include a large Nancy Rubins canoe starburst sculpture outside the front door and a boutique spa and salon with 11 treatment rooms inside.
Murren acknowledged board members and billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian, who was not in attendance. According to Murren, the ability of Kerkorian and others to envision a project beyond what already existed in Las Vegas made CityCenter possible.
Kerkorian, 92, has long been associated with Las Vegas and has twice built the largest hotels in the city, but said in a statement that CityCenter may be the best project he has been involved with.

“Of all the amazing properties in Las Vegas that I’ve been involved with, CityCenter is simply the most amazing,” said Kerkorian, who owns 37 percent of MGM. “I’m extremely excited about the public’s response and look forward to seeing how it transforms Las Vegas.”
