After leaving the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native Saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we gain altitude and the view of the cacti fades into the pines. As we continue into northern Arizona, we will travel to the outskirts of the city of Flagstaff on Route 66 and from the highway we will admire the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest in the world.

Temperatures in the Grand Canyon are typically 25-30°F cooler than Phoenix and vary depending on the season. We recommend our guests to bring jackets in case of weather changes.
There will be approximately an hour and a half of free time during the tour, but we highly recommend staying along the edge. Trails in the canyon can take over 4 hours to reach the bottom and take double that time to get back out.

No, the Skywalk is located on the western rim of the Grand Canyon. Our tour only covers the South Rim.
Pickup times are 6:00am to 7:00am. We will contact you between 4pm and 6pm the evening before your tour to confirm your exact pick-up time.
The Grand Canyon is about 4 hours from the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. Considering the stops along the way, we usually arrive around midday.
These are all approximations, please check the weather before the tour. Winter temperatures at the Grand Canyon can range from 0 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Spring and fall temperatures range from 40 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Summer temperatures range from 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit.

You’ll exit I-17 and head up what’s known as the most scenic road in the state: the Red Rock Scenic Byway (I-179). When you arrive in Sedona, don’t be surprised if you and your children feel an immediate desire to start exploring this new world. Luckily for you, there’s more than just hiking in Sedona, there’s… HIKING! In fact, there are over 200 trails that wind along the glowing red rocks and through the vortex’s famous mystical energy centers. Or hop in one of the off-road pink Jeeps that crawl and climb through the national parks. Top it all off with a feast of the best Mexican food you’ll find in Northern Mexico.

Sedona’s cultural community is a mecca for both art lovers and lovers of the outdoors. Surrounded by the towering red sandstone cliffs of Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona’s deep red rock hills provide a beautiful backdrop to boutiques and art galleries selling authentic Native American and Southwestern arts and crafts.
Visit Tlaquepaque (pronounced Tah-la-key-pock-ee), a trading village named after a small Mexican town that was once the country’s leading producer of crafts and glassware.
Prescott, founded after the discovery of gold in 1863, was the first permanent capital of the Arizona Territory. While in Prescott, stop by the Sharlot Hall Museum complex. See the residence of the first territorial governor, the historic 1857 John C. Fremont House, and the restored century-old Bashford House.
Another point of interest is the charming town square, home to the Yavapai County Courthouse. The blocks surrounding the town square are filled with antique shops, restaurants and hotels. But the most famous section of the square is Whiskey Row, located on Montezuma Street. Whiskey Row got its nickname during the mining days, when nothing but saloons occupied the street.

A few miles outside the city is Granite Dells, a geologic formation with two bodies of water: Watson Lake and Willow Lake. The area is characterized by distinct granite boulders and recreational activities such as boating and hiking.
Prescott is about a two hour drive from Phoenix. The quickest route to Prescott from Phoenix is north on Interstate 17 to Cordes Junction, then northwest on State Route 69.
This magnificent geological fault, named after Jean Ignacio Flores Mogollon, governor of Mexico (1712-1715), is locally called the “rim.” The dramatic face of the rim is a multicolored rock wall, dotted with pine, manzanita and scrub oak. This giant wall of rock jutted up a mile above sea level when the Earth’s surface shifted thousands of years ago. The edge was made famous by author Zane Gray who hunted and fished in this beautiful area. It served as the inspiration for many of his novels.
From Phoenix the edge is a two-hour drive. Take Highway 87 northeast of Phoenix toward Payson. Just beyond Payson, turn right onto Highway 260. Go 31 miles
