To further distinguish the mass of the building, the cladding shows a pattern with horizontal lines in two shades: the soft white in the two outer arcs is different and the darkest black in the longest, central volume of the building. Vdara’s 1,495 suites are spacious and shallow compared to most hotel rooms and suites, maximizing views and daylight. An additional advantage of the three-story arc floor plan is the design of six corner rooms compared to the lower corner rooms common in conventional buildings.
