We Said Yes To The Venue – Yesterday, I had the absolute privilege of inviting a now newlywed couple to a wedding at Lily Creek Farm to create a special surprise, and boy, was it an absolute blast!
“I will!” From the barn itself to a luxurious and yet beautifully simple barn wedding to many ideal locations for photos to a special location near the lake to say the famous words, this venue has it all.

This article highlights this beautiful venue and amazing team and some of my favorite ideas that were incorporated into the wedding last night!
Wedding Planning Podcast
As you drive onto the property, you are greeted by a gravel road. As you progress, immediately to your right is a fenced in parking area with plenty of room for family and friends alike!
After parking, it’s only a short walk (1-3 minutes depending on your speed) to the barn and wedding area!
There is also a small area for parking for those unable to walk from the parking area to the barn.
Walking down the short gravel path, the barn is immediately visible. This beautiful white barn stands tall against the beautiful blue sky of Lily Creek Farm and features a chalkboard bearing the couple’s last names.
We Said Yes! Highpointe Estate Weddings — Highpointe Estate
Inside the barn you are greeted by high ceilings with white drapes of fabric coming from the rafters. Those lovely touches with the candle planter above where you first walk in and the other side of the barn and rustic chandelier make for a simply gorgeous setting!
Tables can be arranged as desired inside the barn for guests to enjoy seating. At a beautiful wedding I attended, round tables were planted around the main area of the barn and the wedding party was designed in a U-shape at the far end of the barn, leaving a space between them and their guests. Dance the night away!
Directly to the left and right when you first walk in are two lovely little spaces. The one on the left was used for catering and the one on the right for the cake and DJ setup.
The room on the left is the bridal suite and has plenty of space for lounging and plenty of areas for make-up and hair. The room lets in tons of natural light and is a beautiful venue for a bride and her bridal party.
Seanna + Carlos
The room on the right is the groom’s suite and has a TV, a large card table in the middle, plenty of snacks and drinks and a very relaxing atmosphere to calm the groom’s nerves.
To the right of the barn is a concrete patio with a bar area, a few cornhole bags for tossing and a seating area complete with firepits available.
The patio is the perfect place for guests to hang out while waiting for the ceremony to begin, before dinner and during the reception. It exudes a relaxed atmosphere and invites guests to relax and talk and laugh and have a great time!
They have raised fields, forests, lake fronts and lots of other small areas to take the most amazing day of photos imaginable! These photos feature beautiful lighting and a sense of wonder that makes the bride and groom stand out more than ever.

The comfortable surroundings make it easy to relax and have as much fun taking pictures as you look like you did in the pictures afterwards! Those smiles aren’t forced, they’re real!
There are plenty of places that boast a lakeside ceremony, but is it comfortable? Is it easy to set up? Is it the perfect place to forget the stress of the day and enjoy the moment right there as you promise yourself to the one you love forever? That’s exactly what they offer at Lily Creek Farm!
Directly in front of the barn and across the walkway is a beautiful deck built with a shaded roof on the lake side. There is a fountain in the lake behind where the bride and groom are standing, to make a beautiful backdrop, which you will dream of first.
Guests are seated on grass on either side of the walkway and permanent canopies are placed over them to protect guests from the sun and light rain.
Wedding: Gabriella + Matthew
During the ceremony, the wedding party walks out through the large, now open, barn doors and marches down the sidewalk and onto the stage in front of their guests. It’s a beautiful time and the decorating possibilities are endless! You can truly make your ceremony your own!
Please note: The wedding ceremony can be held in a barn or really anywhere you want! A lake ceremony stage is very commonly used! 🙂
A beautiful location is only as effective as the team behind the scenes and let me tell you, the team at Lily Creek Farm is amazing! Their communication and flow in working together is unmatched and they pay attention to every little detail to make sure your ceremony is what it could possibly be!
Shelby, the current coordinator, ran like MAD to make sure every little thing was perfect, from the dining area, cake, seating, dropping off guests to dinner, to the ceremony and organizing and directing the wedding party. Making sure the reception and drinks, lighting, venue settings, parking and everything in between are in perfect harmony. She definitely knew what she was doing and with her by your side, you know everything will be alright!
Six Rules For Wedding Dress Shopping
Behind Shelby was the rest of the crew. As mentioned earlier, his ability to communicate and conduct everything seamlessly is amazing to watch!
Maria, the site owner, showed up to make sure the wedding was going as it should. She is a supportive and calm presence who knows when to step in and when to let her staff do what they do best! He checked in with everyone from the DJ to the photographer to the staff running the event and often showed up at Shelby’s to lend a hand.
The day was an absolute joy, but this post isn’t specifically about that wedding. This post is to highlight how beautiful, gorgeous, calming and amazing this place is and I’m sure I’ve proved it!

He called and texted every day for three months before I decided to give him another chance and go out with him. After we hung out several times, I discovered he had everything I wanted in a guy and after a whirlwind romance and dating he popped the question and I happily said yes to our eternity ❤
