Which Cirque Du Soleil Show – I have been lucky enough to attend many different Cirque du Soleil shows. As a Montreal resident, Cirque du Soleil holds a special place in my heart. To read more about my more personal experience with Cirque du Soleil, click here. Cirque du Soleil has come a long way since its original 20 street performers in 1984. In 2017 alone, Cirque du Soleil had 19 shows performed simultaneously around the world!
I was completely amazed when I heard that Cirque du Soleil would be performing on the ice with their newest show, Crystal. I waited with great anticipation and watched Cirque du Soleil on social media to see all the behind-the-scenes preparation for Crystal.

Crystal is currently on tour in Canada and the US, and last week we took our boys to see the performance, courtesy of Evenko. Let me tell you, it was more than we could have imagined!
Zarkana Cirque Du Soleil Las Vegas Review
Cirque du Soleil is one of my favorite shows of all time and I’ve seen it in different places besides Montreal.
The performances are a cultural smorgasbord for the senses. Each show is very creative and beautiful, showing the audience unity and inclusion through different stories.
Crystal has the same features as her other shows, but with the obvious addition of skates and ice.
Another change was the addition of songs that were not original to Cirque du Soleil. Pop songs by artists Sia, Beyoncé and U2 are sung by Cirque du Soleil musicians. So I must admit I was more than surprised, as one of my favorite things about Cirque du Soleil performances is their original music. However, I remember feeling like their show, The Beatles, Love wouldn’t work, and wow, was I wrong! Watching my boys’ reaction to the pop song performance, my husband and I understood why they might have been added; It was definitely a crowd pleaser. And because Crystal is in big arenas like the Bell Center, the show works its magic to please adults and children alike, with a combination of pop and original pieces.
Cirque Du Soleil Plans To Reopen 2 Las Vegas Shows
After watching the behind-the-scenes segments of the skating and stunts, I was so thankful for every move the performers made on the ice. The performers made each act look so easy with their movements. Special shoes were made for acrobats to walk on the ice, while figure skaters were taken to new heights, literally, as they were gracefully lifted into the air to perform circus acts with blades on their feet. It was mesmerizing! The projections for the show were incredible. Technology has changed over time since Cirque du Soleil’s first shows and has allowed them to take their look in a completely new direction. There was one act that surprised everyone, where the entire ice floor became a visual story that made you feel like you were moving with the artist.
Expect all the new things you love from Cirque du Soleil; a fun interactive introduction (arrive early to play along) with clowns, incredible jugglers, balancing feats and moments that will have you holding your breath and cheering with joy!
When I asked the boys to tell me their favorite parts, they all gave different answers, which is another reason I love Cirque du Soleil. There’s so much going on in a show that everyone leaves with inspiration and new favorites. Two things they unanimously loved were the clown that appears during the show and the hockey skaters. It was incredible to see them slide down the ice-made ramps in their special act. And of course, the main character appeared in a Habs jersey – you can imagine the audience’s reaction!
Like all Cirque du Soleil shows, there is a story and a message. The main character, Crystal, takes us on a journey into her imagination after falling through thin ice. Her character is challenged by seeing other characters around her living in certain ways. Should she obey? Should she follow the straight and narrow path? There are times when she is literally fighting herself. Her journey takes her through all the feelings one gets when “walking on thin ice” or having the chance to be who you were meant to be. She ends her journey renewed and strong, with more confidence than before, in her uniqueness.

In short, Crystal does exactly what Cirque du Soleil set out to do; it breaks the traditional mold of ice shows and combines acrobatics and figure skating in a beautiful mix to satisfy all audiences. If you have tickets to see this week’s performance in Montreal, you’ll love it! If you don’t have tickets yet, I can’t think of a better way to end this year than to go see the performance at the Bell Center. And if you’re not in Montreal, do yourself a favor and check your local listings for this performance. If you’re lucky enough to have this come your way, go check it out!

Cirque du Soleil was formed in the 1980s by a group of talented street performers and has now grown to dominate stages across the Las Vegas Strip and around the world.
For anyone visiting Las Vegas for the first time looking for a show, it would be hard to go wrong with a Cirque production, all with their own “flavor” or theme.
The best news? You really can’t go wrong. Although “O” at Bellagio is the main option, in my opinion, they are all designed to impress.

Drop Your Jaw At These Cirque Du Soleil Shows In Vegas
Holding a place close to my heart, Mystere was the first Cirque show I experienced and it did not disappoint.
Typical of Cirque productions, the plot is a bit difficult to follow (I still don’t understand the adult baby or the giant snail), but that doesn’t matter as the stunts and visuals are spectacular.
As an added bonus, Mystere tickets tend to be on the cheaper end of the Cirque spectrum (starting at $70).
With choreographed sets to hits like “Here Comes the Sun”, “Help!”, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”, “Strawberry Fields Forever” and “All You Need Is Love”, Beatles fans are sure to be in love.
